Obama’s Bump in the Road

Been a busy 2 weeks
So we have over 20 diplomatic posts under seige, centering on the middle east, a consulate burned, an Al Qaida flag flying over our embassy in Tunisia, and three staffers murdered along with the US Ambassador to Libya, first US Ambassador murdered since the ’80’s.

Or as Obama referred to it on 60 Minutes… “a bump in the road”.

In the same interview…
…where Mr Sensistivity made that statement {that’ll haunt him til election day} he had the following brilliant exchange:

STEVE KROFT: “You don’t feel any pressure from Prime Minister Netanyahu in the middle of a campaign to try and get you to change your policy and draw a line in the sand? You don’t feel any pressure?”

OBAMA: “When it comes to our national security decisions — any pressure that I feel is simply to do what’s right for the American people. And I am going to block out — any noise that’s out there.”

Apparently not satisfied with the damage he had done thus far
He went on to characterize Israel as “one of our strongest allies in the region”. [The host was nice enough to not ask him to clarify just who he considered our strongest ally in the region.]

Avoiding REAL Reporters {as well as actual work}
Obama has limited most of his appearances to meetings with JZ, Beyonce, Pimp with a Limp, David Letterman and other such hard news groups where the toughest questions involve his favorite color. Basically without a teleprompter, he cant do hard news interviews without a “You didnt build that” moment. So to avoid the prospect of not being re-elected to the job, he refuses to get caught doing his job.

So Where IS the President as the Middle East Burns?
Well… during the time he said he did NOT have available to meet with the head of state of Israel, our strongest ally in the troubled region, who was travelling to New York… Obama went on The View… in New York.

So in Summary – A Brief Look at a Few Current “Bumps in the Road

• “One of our strongest allies” is openly contemplating going to war
• A country full of guys that riot over cartoons is about to get a nuclear bomb
• Our exit strategy in Afghanistan is hamstrung by the minor little fact that the people they are training keep shooting our troops
• Iran just unveiled a drone cloned from the one we lost there
• Our warships are gathered with a host of allies off the Straits of Hormuz for what exactly nobody suspects is a training exercise.

So in the same vein as his response to the death of our ambassador {Obama promptly skipped his security briefing and flew to Vegas for a fundraiser}… we are left with foreign policy run amuck while our president parties with rock stars, literally.

And there are people that claim one of his strengths is foreign policy.

This guy is a 1-man natural disaster. We should name ALL hurricanes after him.
